"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth."
Core Beliefs
The following core beliefs of Crosspoint Church are based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is God's Word. It is the inspired, authoritative, and infallible guide for our faith, conduct, and everyday lives.
God
We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things and the Redeemer of mankind. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.
Jesus Christ
We believe Lord Jesus Christ is the only begotten of the Father. He is coeternal and coexistent with the Father and represents the very radiance of God's glory. Jesus is both God and man and is the only one who can reconcile us to God. Each time we partake of communion we remember Jesus lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is coeternal and coexistent with God the Father and God the Son. The Holy Spirit gives both creation and redemptive life. He is the agent of sanctification in our lives, our comforter, and helper. The Holy Spirit points men to Jesus, convicts us of our sins, bestows upon us ministry gifts, and baptizes us in his spirit.
Salvation
We believe that sin has broken our relationship with God and separated us from his purpose in our lives. Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our transgressions. God raised him from the dead proving that Jesus defeated the power of sin to condemn. Now, by grace, the gift of eternal life is offered to all who follow Christ, by faith, as their Lord and Savior. That is why salvation can be found in Christ alone.
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit
We believe that God the Father wants to baptize every Christian in his Holy Spirit. We believe that baptism in the Holy Spirit is separate from salvation and is available to believers after they have been born again by faith in Christ.
Sanctification
We believe every believer is called to be on a journey to give more of their life to Jesus. This process is called sanctification and involves the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer helping them change their desires and actions to reflect the holiness of God.
The Church
The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. Each believer is meant to be an integral part of the church and its mission.
Ressurection
Jesus Christ is returning one day to judge both the living and the dead and to usher in the fullness of God's kingdom on earth.
We believe that God the Father wants to baptize every Christian in his Holy Spirit. We believe that baptism in the Holy Spirit is separate from salvation and is available to believers after they have been born again by faith in Christ.
